Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you may not do with Era Voice. It is part of the Terms of Service and applies to voices, imported or pasted documents, recordings, transcripts, podcast adaptations, review links, every request and every account. Voice cloning is powerful, and we run this Service on one principle: a voice belongs to its speaker.

Only clone your own voice or a voice whose speaker has given you explicit, informed consent for cloning and for the uses you intend. Keep records; we may ask for them.
Do not clone from recordings of people who could not consent: children without a parent's or guardian's consent, deceased persons without the authority of their estate, incidental or secretly recorded audio, or leaked and scraped material.
Do not automate around, falsify or share the consent attestation.

2. No impersonation, fraud or deception

Do not present synthetic speech as a real person's actual words, and do not use a cloned voice to make anyone appear to say something they did not say.
No scams, social engineering, phishing, robocalls, spoofed voicemails, fake customer-service or emergency calls, or attempts to defeat voice-based authentication and identity verification.
No political disinformation, fabricated statements by candidates or officials, or interference with elections.
Where the context could mislead a reasonable listener, disclose that the audio is synthetic.

3. Public figures and copyrighted performances

Do not clone celebrities, politicians, broadcasters, performers, streamers or any other public figure, and do not recreate a character associated with a specific actor, unless you hold documented rights: a written licence or that person's own consent. Parody, satire or commentary intent does not change this.
Do not use recordings, books, articles or other content without the rights, permission or lawful basis needed for the requested processing. Do not bypass DRM, paywalls or access restrictions. Do not generate or distribute content that infringes copyright, performers' rights, privacy or rights of publicity. Owning a copy does not necessarily authorise adaptation, public narration or distribution.

4. Harassment, sexual content and harm

No harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation or defamation of any person.
No sexual or intimate content depicting real, identifiable people, and no sexual content involving minors in any form.
No content that incites violence, promotes terrorism or self-harm, or expresses hatred against people based on a protected characteristic.

5. Illegal content and technical abuse

Nothing that violates applicable law, including laws on synthetic-media disclosure, privacy, rights of publicity, consumer protection and telemarketing.
No malware, no attempts to breach or probe the security of the Service, and no circumventing plan caps, rate limits or account limits.
No sharing of API keys across organisations and no reselling of access without our written agreement.
No scraping of the marketplace or of other users' voices.

6. Marketplace

List only voices you have the right to license to others, and describe them accurately.
Do not list a third party's voice without a written agreement, and do not re-list voices you copied from the marketplace or from the preset library.

7. Enforcement

We act on reports and on our own signals. Depending on severity we may warn you, remove voices or listings, revoke API keys, suspend or terminate accounts and, where the law requires it, report to law enforcement. Where necessary for a specific investigation or legal obligation, we may preserve limited records with a documented purpose and retention review date. Repeated or serious violations lead to permanent termination without refund.

8. Reporting and takedown

Report abuse, or a voice cloned without consent, to era-support@erasmuslabs.ai. Include links, audio and, for rights claims, proof of identity or of the rights you hold.
We acknowledge reports within two business days and may disable the voice while we investigate.
We remove voices and listings found to violate this policy and notify the account holder, who may respond with evidence of consent or rights.
Speakers may ask us to delete a voice cloned from them at any time.
